Wilson Lake Country Club

The great golf architect Wayne Stiles created the classic, nine-hole layout at Wilson Lake Country Club, in picturesque Wilton, in the early 1930s. Since then, the course has been a favorite amongst both local golfers and friends from "away." Those who experience it today may notice how much of Stiles' original character still remains.

The course is significant not only for its design. In 1946, the famous Patty Berg played an exhibition match at Wilson Lake and set the women's course record of 38. Berg pronounced the course to be "the best nine in Maine."
