There's no such thing as a typical day but you can usually expect lots of action on a shark charter, battling toothy predators, some of which will outweigh even the stoutest angler. Or you can up the ante and try for the ultimate big game species, giant bluefin tuna. "Smaller" fish will range from 200-300 pounds but there are some true giants out there and regardless of size, bluefin will provide plenty of adrenaline-filled action.

- Hours Bluefin tuna generally arrive in mid to late June but the action doesn't heat up until early July. Then it remains steady through September. Sharks arrive a little later, as the Gulf waters warm. Action remains consistent from mid July through most of September.
