Northern Maine Museum of Science / University of Maine Presque Isle

The Northern Maine Museum of Science grew out of two substantial natural-history collections that the University of Maine at Presque Isle received in the early 1970s. Original items included marine and fresh-water sea shells, local forestry specimens and materials for a herbarium. Today, the museum includes exhibits on chemistry, physics, agriculture, forestry and biology and oversees a campus nature trail. The museum is in Folsom Hall on South Main Street.
