Published in national magazines such as Oprah, National Geographic Traveler, People, Yankee, New England Travel & Life, Coastal Living, Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors, and Down East, and with work appearing on the cover of books, in the America 24-7 series, and even on a jigsaw puzzle, calendars and cocktail napkins, Michele is an award-winning photojournalist. She trained the old-fashioned way, with ten years at daily newspapers in Maine, Mississippi, and Alabama. As a newspaper photographer, Michele photographed everything from presidents to prize livestock and earned awards from the Associated Press, state news associations and the National News Photographers Association.
