2022 Truck Show at Owls Head Transportation Museum July 16th and 17th 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Antique truck, tractor, commercial and military vehicle enthusiasts won’t want to miss this long-standing popular event where we celebrate the biggest, most rugged rigs to hit the road! Visit OHTM on Saturday, July 16th and Sunday, July 17th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for an exciting roster of activities ranging from an antique military vehicle showcase to blind-spot demonstrations and a synchronized horn blow from all the assembled trucks! On both Saturday and Sunday, the museum grounds will be alive with historic demonstrations, exhibitor car shows, interactive displays and more! Attendees can enjoy vintage car rides, food and beverages from the museum’s Hungry Pilot Café, or get some shade indoors as they explore OHTM’s collection of classic automobiles and vintage aircraft. Featured vehicles to be demonstrated include OHTM’s 1946 Sterling dump truck, 1942 Ford GPW WWII Jeep, 1952 Korean War M38 Jeep, 1972 Autocar D7 and 1910 Buick Truck. And fire engine enthusiasts won’t want to miss the 1926 American LaFrance Ladder Truck which was converted from a Model T. SPECIAL GUEST! (Saturday Only) A highlight on Saturday will be special guest and children’s book author and illustrator, Chris Van Dusen. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Van Dusen will be reading and signing copies of his latest book, "Big Truck Little Island." Also on Saturday, free ice cream will be provided by Darling’s Collision Center’s “Ice Cream for a Cause” truck. Those attending the event with small children won’t want to miss OHTM’s Kids Zone, offering interactive learning experiences from within the museum on both Saturday and Sunday. An impressive lineup of historic biplanes will also be demonstrated and flying throughout the weekend (weather permitting)! Visitors will even have the chance to walk along the flightline to get a closer look at their favorite planes. Want more? Purchase a 20-minute scenic biplane ride for an open-air, sky-high experience unlike any other! (Weather permitting) Parking is Free! Onsite parking is available to all museum guests.
