Joy to the Ville


Embrace the holiday spirit at the third annual Joy to the Ville community event!

Celebrate the magic of the holiday season in Waterville with Waterville Creates!, the Maine Film Center, and friends the Waterville Public Library, the Colby College Museum of Art, Snow Pond Center for the Arts, and the Children's Discovery Museum -- as we join forces with downtown businesses to organize a day of free, family-friendly holiday programming throughout Waterville! Sponsored by Bangor Savings Bank.

All events and admissions are free. Free cotton candy from 10 - 4pm (while supplies last) at Railroad Square Cinema, Common Street Arts, and the Chace Forum.

Joy to the Ville Schedule:

10:00 - 11:00am: Princess Storytime at Waterville Public Library 10:00 - 12:00pm: A Christmas Story at Railroad Square Cinema 10:00 - 2:00pm: Make holiday cards for nursing home residents at the Waterville Public Library 10:00 - 4:00pm: Tinker and explore with the Children's Discovery Museum's pop-up exhibits at the Alfond Commons Chace Community Forum 11:00 - 3:00pm: Make a holiday ornament using 3D printed parts, ribbon, colored paper, and more! Get creative and see how a 3D printer works at Common Street Arts 11:00 - 5:00pm: Visit Santa at Kringleville in Castonguay Square 1:00 - 2:00pm: Satur-Play: Families In Theater Workshop at the Waterville Public Library led by members of the Recycled Shakespeare Company! Caregivers and kids will learn fun theater games to get them used to stage life! 1:00 - 2:00pm: Join Snow Pond Community Music School for a Melody Makers class where we use our bodies and instruments to make music at Alfond Commons Chace Community Forum 1:00 - 3:00pm: Holiday Green Screen Winter Fun Photos at Alfond Commons Chace Community Forum 1:00 - 3:00pm: Make a cool creative holiday frame for your festive photos with Colby Museum of Art at the Alfond Commons Chace Community Forum 1:00 - 4:00pm: Holiday Mind Jars with KVCAP Family Enrichment Council at Alfond Commons Chace Community Forum. Similar to a snow globe, mind jars can be used for fun, but can also be used to help children focus, destress, or count down a time out. 2:00 - 3:00pm: Instrument Petting Zoo at Alfond Commons Chace Community Forum. Come try your hand at xylophone, violin, african drum, and lots more!
