Full Moon and Winter Forest Walk at Earth at Hidden Pond

Winter nights are special and Hidden Pond is a great place to wander slowly and explore. There will be a full moon above us and a living forest around us. We’ll practice our night vision and open our other senses. How much can we see, smell, and hear at night? What animals are out at night and how do they survive the winter? Is night vision different from day vision?

We’ll gaze up into the sky and learn about the moon. How was it formed? Why was it important to our ancestors? How does the moon influence life on Earth?
