Blooming In Downeast by Liv Pearl
The Ellsworth Public Library is hosting Liv Pearl's solo art exhibit "Blooming in Downeast Maine.”
Liv Pearl (Olivia Dyer) Art is inspired by her surroundings in Maine, as well as a variety of art influences. Liv blends age-old themes with a contemporary art style to create works that scream “Liv Pearl!” She explores themes of community, florals, womanhood, and mental health in her works.
Liv Pearl is an artist interested in representing authentic, yet stylized expressions of her lived experiences in DowneastMaine,focusing primarily on the natural world, with great attention given to floral subjects. Through bold mark making and color,Olivia stylizes the natural surroundings local to Downeast in a fashion that emits sentimentality and a sens eof fondness. Dyer has an enduring appreciation for flowers, associating their likenesses with peace and beauty.
An artist’s reception will be held on Wednesday, May 29 at 4:30 PM where visitors are welcome to attend, view the works, and meet the artist.
Snacks and soft drinks will be provided.
