Annual Ice Harvest
Thompson Ice House Museum hosts their annual Ice Harvest February 17, 2019. Prep work starts around 9 a.m. with general harvesting starting around 10 a.m.. Food and souvenir sales start at 11 a.m.
The Ice Harvest utilizes the historical harvesting tools and methods to bring in ice for the Ice House to use and sell. Any and all may participate in moving the ice from the pond to the ice house. This is a family friendly event, so there is ice skating on part of the pond, plus food and souvenirs for sale. The museum will be open and a video will be showing how the ice harvesting works.
9 a.m. to mid-afternoon (approximately 3 p.m.)
