A Taste of Maine’s Beer History

Join us for a celebration of Maine’s craft beer scene and our newest exhibit Maine Brews with the author of Maine Beer: Brewing in Vacationland, Josh Christie, and The Maine Brew Bus’s own Don Littlefield.

Together, Josh and Don will host an evening of history and brews. Josh will describe the history of brewing in Maine, from its early beginnings through prohibition, temperance, and post-Prohibition, to the resurgence of craft brewing in Maine and how that has shaped the unique and inventive beer culture that flourishes today.

A variety of legendary and soon-to-be legendary Maine beers, selected by Josh, will be provided to sample. Enjoy learning about Maine’s beer history through all your senses!

We invite our guests to arrive early (5pm) and experience the two exhibits on display at MHS: Maine Brews and Maine Eats: The Food Revolution Starts Here.

Sponsored by The Maine Brew Bus.

To be held in the Shettleworth Lecture Hall at Maine Historical Society.
