Northeast Historic Film & The Alamo Theatre

Historic Film & The Alamo Theatre is a motion-picture archive and restored 1916 movie theater in Bucksport. The organization preserves and provides access to Northern New England’s moving image history while also operating a historic cinema that screens current films.

Visitors can explore lobby exhibits and a collection of amateur motion-picture equipment, research regional history through archival films, or enjoy a movie in the vintage theater. Historic Film also offers film transfer, archival storage and access to videos documenting life and work in New England, including logging and maritime subjects.
