The Maine State Golf Association—known as Maine Golf—helps connect players to the game statewide. Founded in 1917, the nonprofit organization supports golf across all 16 counties through its network of member clubs and programs. Visitors can participate in sanctioned championships, maintain an official USGA Handicap Index® and experience Maine’s diverse courses with a shared set of standards. Maine Golf also supports junior golf and educational opportunities through its longstanding scholarship fund, reinforcing a strong sense of community and stewardship behind the game.
