Preserving, Protecting and Promoting Bangor’s History since 1864 Bangor, Maine, has a powerful past filled with heartwarming stories, commanding personalities, and influential events that shaped the Queen City as we know it. Take a walk through time and learn about the likes of Thomas A. Hill, Sam & Matilda Dale, and famous architect Richard Upjohn. Visit the Thomas A. Hill House which is the heart of the organization’s collection–and certainly its largest object, and learn what life was like in the 1800's in Bangor and our surrounding area.
