Natural Plant Dye Class

October 3, 2026

Date degli eventi

October 3, 2026

We are a working farm where our visitors can experience sustainable agriculture, learn about fiber production, and connect with us, the people, and our animals behind our locally crafted products.

Join us on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026, for a hands-on natural plant dye class at our farm, featuring plants grown on our farm and yarn from our Finn sheep, William! Tickets are 75.00 per person and can be purchased on our website - link here. This class is limited to eight participants.

Each participant will select a dye pot to create a unique, colorful yarn using one of William's skeins! Bring an item to experiment with indigo leaves if desired, or purchase additional yarn for another skein to design. This session also includes an introduction to block printing techniques. Participants can enjoy a visit with our alpacas and sheep. Wear comfortable clothing suitable for hands-on activities and come ready to explore creativity and nature. Purchase additional skeins and/or create your own bouquet of our garden flowers to take home for an additional 25.00.

We love this time of year when the meadows are full, and our dye gardens are exploding with plants that have grown over the months. It's a beautiful season to be on our farm and working out in nature amongst the animals. Please contact me with any questions. I look forward to experimenting with natural dye plants with you!
