Muddy Boots Concert: How do strings sing? – Oko

Performers‍ ‍

EMMA POWELL, violin

MINA KIM, cello

CHARLES OVERTON, harp

How can a string sing? Trio Oko brings together violin, cello, and one of the most fascinating instruments children can encounter up close - the harp - to find out. Children will get to hear each instrument on its own, discover what makes their sounds different, and then hear what happens when the three play together. With musical demonstrations, movement, games, and plenty of opportunities to join in, Emma Powell, Mina Kim, and Charles Overton turn the concert into a chance to look, listen, ask questions, and get to know more about these instruments.
