The Maine MILL (Museum of Innovation, Learning + Labor) invites visitors to its grand opening weekend from June 26–28, 2026 with free admission and special events. The museum’s new facility in Lewiston’s Camden Yards Mill features more than 10,000 artifacts, recorded oral histories and immersive exhibits tracing how the region’s textile mills and industries influenced

Join the Maine250 Fourth of July Celebrations
Portland
A ceremony at City Hall Plaza marks the 250th anniversary with live music and a reading of the Declaration of Independence. Later, fireworks light up the night above the Eastern Promenade.
Bar Harbor
Line the streets to enjoy festive floats and a sea of red, white and blue during the 2026 Independence Day Parade. The United States Army musical unit will make a special appearance.
Bagno
Celebrate Independence Day with Heritage Days in Bath, featuring a parade with bands, floats and community groups marching through downtown. The day ends with an electrifying fireworks display.
Rangeley
As part of the festivities for July 3rd in the Park at Rangeley, the Great American Dog Parade paws its way through town in a playful, patriotic procession.
