Brooks Historical Society

The Brooks Historical Society is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and interpreting the history of the town of Brooks and its people. Founded in 2003, the society works to document local heritage and encourage an understanding of the events, industries and families that have shaped the community over time.

The society maintains a growing collection of historical papers, photographs and artifacts related to Brooks, with most materials acquired through community donations. These collections support research, education and public awareness of local history. The Brooks Historical Society is a member of the Maine Association of Museums and contributes to regional efforts to preserve Maine’s cultural and historical resources.
