Take a stroll on the dark side on a historical walking tour of true crime in Portland, Maine, with a trusted public historian!

In partnership with Maine Historical Society, guide Dugan Murphy of Portland by the Foot is offering this walking tour in conjunction with the MHS exhibit "Notorious: Maine Crime in the Public Eye, 1690-1940." Dugan will guide guests through the Arts District, West End, and Old Port. Stories of riots, battles, mayhem, and criminal hijinks from generations past come alive with horror and humor, impropriety and inspiration!

This small-group tour is limited to 15 guests and offered on only 5 dates in 2025:

• Tuesday, July 15, 2025, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
• Saturday, August 2, 2025, 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.
• Wednesday, September 24, 2025, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
• Friday, October 17, 2025, 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.
• Saturday, October 18, 2025, 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.
