Concert: Rebel Daughter

Rebel Daughter (Jean Frances Pauly and Azure Daniels) Daughters of a freight hopper and lighthouse keeper, these sisters in song only answer to the call of the siren and high lonesome cry of the rails. Hailing from New York (Jean) and the Midwest (Azure), these songstresses blend their voices in haunting harmonies and fierce melody accompanied by acoustic guitar and banjo licks with occasional appearances by the fiddle, ukulele, washboard, and harmonica. True Americana music with raw elements of traditional, old-time, bluegrass, and Country.

This summer, the Ellsworth Public Library (EPL) is inviting residents and visitors alike to make the library part of their summer plans. From July through August, the library will offer 120 free programs for all ages, bringing the community together through live entertainment, outdoor adventures, summer reading, hands-on activities, and opportunities to learn, create, and connect.

Among the highlights is the library's signature Thursday Nights at the Library series, beginning July 2 at 6 p.m., featuring author talks, live music, and community events. Families can also look forward to Wednesday Night Performances starting July 1 at 6 p.m.
