Camp Walden

Founded in 1916, Camp Walden is a seven-week residential camp for girls aged 9-15 in beautiful Denmark, Maine. Walden's program blends tradition with contemporary thinking to develop girls' self-esteem, confidence and leadership. Our Honor System, run by a council of camper representatives, promotes values of honesty, respect, responsibility, and consideration for others. Our activities include water sports (swimming, sailing, canoeing, skiing), land sports (tennis, riding, soccer, softball, lacrosse, archery, climbing wall, ropes challenge, gymnastics), and art (dance, drama, ceramics, jewelry, craft). Blended into the summer is an extensive trip program, including hiking and canoeing trips in the New England environment.
