Established 1966 in Dexter, Maine - Current Headquarters in Abbott Museum
The Dexter Historical Society has four museum buildings: Abbott Museum & Gift Shop, the Grist Mill Museum, the Millers House and the one-room Carr Schoolhouse. They are open from June to September. The Abbott Museum & Gift Shop is open reduced hours during off-season. Research and genealogy services are available year-round at the Abbott Museum location.
