Heron Neck
Heron Neck Light Station was built in 1854. The lighthouse is not open to the public, but it can be seen by boat. Set atop a bold, rocky cliff at the southern tip of Green Island, this white and red-topped light marks the entrance to Hurricane Sound and guides mariners to Carver's Harbor, a busy seaport on Vinalhaven Island.
