Lakefront home with gorgeous views, private dock, firepit, & modern conveniences

A beautiful lakefront property on pristine Torsey Pond in Mount Vernon, Maine, located in a shallow cove with open water views and a wooded setting. The lake features great fishing, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, water skiing, and boating (no jet skis are allowed on the lake). With a majority of undeveloped shoreline, Torsey Pond is one of the best ponds in Central Maine for the quiet enjoyment of activities. You can see the water from throughout the house. There are two open decks that sit above the ground making for a beautiful view and an incredibly peaceful space where you can look out to the waterfront. Relax and listen to the loons, osprey, and other wildlife. The home sleeps 8 - the master bedroom is upstairs and has a king bed, there are two additional bedrooms, one downstairs and one upstairs, each with a queen bed, and there is a sleeping area off of the upstairs bedroom with two twin beds. There are two bathrooms, one downstairs and one upstairs, both with showers. The home also has a family room, dining area, kitchen, and laundry room. Appliances include a stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. At the waterfront is a dock with stairs to the water and there is also a float with a ladder that is perfect for swimming off of or relaxing in the sun. A canoe and two kayaks are provided for your use. The home also has satellite cable, Wi-Fi internet, washing machine, dryer, DVD player, DVDs, books, board games, and outdoor games. Linens, towels, dinnerware, glasses, silverware, utensils, pots and pans, bakeware, and a propane grill are available for use. The driveway is gravel with plenty of parking available. A boat launch is located 3/4 mile down the road. There are restaurants and convenience stores located approximately 10 minutes from the home with a larger variety of restaurants, grocery and convenience stores, a movie theater, and shopping that are 20 to 30 minutes from the home. Augusta is about 30 minutes away, Portland and the coast are about an hour from the home, and Acadia National Park is 2 1/2 hours from the home.
