The Mooring B&B

The Mooring B&B is located on the ocean in Georgetown, Maine. It is the restored former home of Walter Reid the donor of Reid State Park. It is owned and operated by his great-grandaughter Penny Barabe and her family. There are lovely grounds with many old plantings and gardens as well as some new.It has 5 guest rooms all with a water view, private baths and a/c. A hearty Maine breakfast is served each morning on the sun porch while watching the Lobster boats leave the harbor. The Mooring is a spectacular site for that special wedding or party.Penny is a partner in Island Caterers and has been doing functions for more than 20 years. The unique Spanish Room built in 1920 is ideal for watching TV or reading.
