Historic sea captain’s mansion rejuvenated into a 9 room B&B. The Homeport Inn was built in 1861 for Captain John P. Nichols, a prominent sea captain who was a commander of 5 ships and owner of a local shipyard. Our 12,000 square foot Inn is listed on the National Register. Open seasonally from Memorial Day weekend to mid October. Located on Route 1 between Bar Harbor and Camden. 10 minutes to Belfast. Many hiking opportunities nearby including Sears Island, a favorite of Maine bird watchers. Walk to the Penobscot Marine Museum and downtown Searsport. Full homemade breakfast of your choice for 2 included with room rate. Homemade treats offered daily. All rooms have refridgerators, Keurig coffee service, and televisions.
