_The Nancy Place_ has opened a hostel for adventurous travelers with an ecological mindset. Under renovations in 2016, but open to travelers who don't mind overlooking small details of needed repairs to get a great deal. The hostel itself is converting from a 1974 single family mobile home to a 3 bedroom ( 9 person) lodge over the slow season. Featuring 2 indoor and 2 outdoor common spaces and a small, full kitchen, as well as an outdoor cooking area-- the space is off the beaten path, relatively quiet, and has easy access to forested trails and the adjoining organic farm. Easy drives to Acadia, Bangor, Belfast, Castine, Blue Hill and Bucksport.
