The homestead of Blue Hill's first minister

Jonathan Fisher (1768-1847) was the first settled Congregational minister of Blue Hill. He was also an artist, farmer, scientist, mathematician, surveyor, poet and writer. The charming homestead he designed in 1814 contains: historic paintings; drawings; watercolors; woodblock prints; furniture Fisher made for family and others; and an extensive library. The house is entered on the National Register of Historic Places.
