Burnham Tavern is one of 21 homes in the United States designated as most significant to the American Revolution. The Tavern is the oldest building in eastern Maine and the only one with direct connections to the Revolutionary War. Built in 1770 by Job and Mary Burnham, it is open from mid-June - July 3 by appointment only, and from July 5 through August 31. Due to fluctuating staff availability, the Tavern will be open in July and August on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:30 - 3:00 p.m. Weekends or unscheduled days are open by appointment only. (see our website for details).
