Crews are working on major road and bridge construction projects in Maine which could affect your drive into and through the state.

The Maine Department of Transportation is planning a full closure of I-295 in Portland to be completed in 2022 — Date to be announced.

The “Maine Ahead” project is rebuilding the Piscataqua River Bridge, which brings the Maine Turnpike into Maine from New Hampshire. It is also rebuilding the nearby York Toll Plaza.

Farther north, crews are rebuilding parts of downtown Wiscasset, including Route 1.
