The museum houses artifacts from the era of wooden-ship building and records of the town and area's historic past. It has an extensive collection of old photographs and letters and ledgers of townspeople.

- Hours The museum is open in the summer on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 2 and 4 p.m. and on Saturdays between 1 and 3 p.m. We are also open by appointment throughout the year.
