Historic waterfront housekeeping cabins at the base of Spencer Mountain
2020- TRANSITIONING TO NEW OPERATORS - STAY TUNES! The only cabins on the pond. One additional cabin sits six miles north on Moosehead Lake. Open May - November. Many people are enjoying the experience of getting closer to the basic things of life. This we encourage. There is no telephone, Wi-Fi hookup or electricity from a loud generator running late into the evening to jar your nerves. Cell phone coverage is sporadic at best. Plumbing is "out back" and relaxation is everywhere.Free canoes, kayaks, paddleboat, sailboat, and mountain bikes available for use with cabin rental. Rustic cozy with rocking chairs, screened porches, and quilts. Come experience North Woods magic the way life used to be. Take your family on a vacation that is different where they will be surrounded by natural beauty and completely "off the grid." Offers birding, moose watching, fishing, hunting, hiking, biking, paddling. An authentic wilderness retreat. Great opportunities for artists, photography, and general nature appreciation. Environmentally certified and focused on creating an environment welcoming pets and children of all ages.
