Portland Yacht Club

Sailboats cutting across Casco Bay have defined Portland Yacht Club since its founding in 1869. Located in Falmouth just north of Portland, the club serves as southern Maine’s home for sailboat racing, with a full calendar of regattas and cruising events that carry its long maritime tradition into the present day. While Portland Yacht Club is a private organization, it extends its reach beyond members through youth and adult sailing education and select opportunities to experience its waterfront setting. With deep roots in competitive sailing and a strong connection to Casco Bay, the club remains an active hub of Maine’s sailing community.
