Wildlife Safaris by truck and/or comfy pontoon boat

**Experience the wilderness and beauty of Maine's mountains and lakes with a tour by truck or boat!** **On Land:** Bob Howe, Master Maine Guide of 39 years, will provide an educational wildlife tour like no other. Bringing you to the mountainous habitats of native wild creatures such as moose, deer, black bear, snowshoe hare, upland birds, hawks, eagles, reptiles, beaver, muskrats, and more, he will show and teach you more than you knew was possible in 3 hours. These animals live in the woods here among us, there are no fences. In the major heat of the summer, it can be a little more difficult to see lots of wildlife, but Bob will give you the best chance, and will show you their tell-tale signs, teach track identification, feeding patterns, and other important information about these animals, all while trying to sneak up some unsuspecting critters for viewing. While traveling through the back woods roads, Bob will also point out parts of the Old Canada Road including old cellar holes where homes and logging camps used to be, and the famous Benedict Arnold Trail. He will provide a description of life here in the mountains over the years. Your tour will be in an enclosed vehicle, but you will get out at times to look at tracks, identify animal sign, call in wild animals, pick some fresh wild berries, and more. **Price: $150 up to 4 people** What you will need: - Sneakers or hiking shoes/boots (no open toed sandals) - Snacks and non-alcoholic drinks - Sunglasses - Camera - Light weight jacket or fleece **On the Water:** Relax on our 22ft. pontoon boat while being escorted around beautiful Wyman Lake. This lake is very special and serene due to the lack of houses on the shoreline. You could spend an entire day on the lake and only encounter 4-5 other boats. You will have a 3 hour tour of the lake getting close up views of waterfalls, islands, possibly wildlife such as moose, deer, loons, etc. You will learn about the lake and surrounding area, how it was formed with the creation of Wyman Dam, historical logging information and how the Kennebec River was, and still is, so vital to our way of life in this area. Bring a swimsuit and jump off the platform to enjoy the crisp, clean spring fed water! You may also upgrade to include a delicious meal prepared either on the boat, or on a private beach. **Price $150 up to 4 people, $25 each additional (Maximum 6ppl)** What to Bring: - Sunscreen - Sunglasses - Swimsuit - Cooler with drinks/snacks - Sweatshirt or light jacket - Camera
