Preserving the history of Maine's farming heritage
The Page Farm and Home Museum studies and preserves the history of Maine's 19th-and-20th-century farms and farming communities. The museum complex contains an 1833 post-and-beam barn, the last original agricultural building on the University of Maine campus; an 1855, one-room schoolhouse; a carriage house; a blacksmith shop; and a heritage garden. Heirloom varieties of herbs, flowers, and vegetables are cultivated here.
