Join us for a unique Maine adventure. We offer half day, full day and multi day ocean and lake paddling, hiking, backpacking, skiing and snowshoeing adventures.
North Star Adventures will exceed your expectations. The product and culmination of 25 years experience in outdoor leadership and recreation, our programs will bring outdoor adventure to you in fun, safe, and amazingly beautiful environments.
We are based in Unity Maine but offer trips throughout the state. You can join one of our scheduled programs or work with us to create a custom program that meets your needs and challenge level.
North Star Adventures may not be the flashiest program in the field, but we are a reference point from which you can begin your journey, continue your journey, where you can come to refocus, or where you can come to create the adventure of a lifetime.

- Hours North Star Adventures LLC offers programs year round (except mud season). Winter is long in Maine. It is our goal to teach people how to embrace the season. Winter is magical. The crowds are gone, the woods are quiet, the snow and ice sparkle and the colors are sharp and crisp. North Star offers cross-country ski tours, snowshoeing tours and winter skills and survival classes. In the summer we offer sea kayaking, canoeing, backpacking, hiking, outdoor skills sessions and custom programs. September is probably my favorite month in Maine. The days are still long and warm and the nights cooler. The quality of light is rich as the sun sets lower in the sky. Fall is a perfect time of year for hiking or backpacking. Ocean and lake water is warm (by Maine standards).
