Mount Desert Chamber of Commerce

The Mount Desert Chamber of Commerce represents the Town of Mount Desert on Mount Desert Island, which includes the villages of Otter Creek, Seal Harbor, Northeast Harbor, Somesville, Hall Quarry and Pretty Marsh. Settled in the 1700s, the area retains a rural character shaped by limited commercialization and close proximity to Acadia National Park.

Visitors find access to hiking trails, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, boat cruises, golf, tennis and biking, along with a collection of local restaurants and art galleries. Community events and seasonal activities are also shared online through the chamber. The town’s villages offer a quieter setting for exploring the natural landscapes and cultural life of Mount Desert Island.
