Matthews Museum of Maine Heritage
Matthews Museum of Maine Heritage is an agricultural museum with approximately 10,000 artifacts. These include carriages, agricultural tools, musical instruments, books, a collection of photo prints and a sizable Moxie collection. There is also a one-room schoolhouse attached to the museum and a research library. The Museum is raising funds to build another addition that will house the 32-foot Moxie Bottle Stand (house), which was originally introduced at the 1st combined New England Food Fair in 1907. The huge Moxie Bottle stood in the center of the hall floor to represent the Moxie Nerve Food Company.
