Maine State Kayak & E-bike

Maine State Kayak & E-bike offers small-group sea kayaking trips exploring the quieter waters of Mount Desert Island’s western side. Guided paddles travel through Western Bay, Blue Hill Bay and Somes Sound, with opportunities for wildlife viewing along the way. Many routes are one-way, designed to take advantage of prevailing winds, and include a brief stop on a secluded beach or island.

Trips spend approximately two and a half to three hours on the water and are led by experienced, locally owned and operated guides. All necessary paddling equipment, instruction and transportation are included. On-site parking is available, and trips welcome beginners.
