Little Lyford Lodge and Cabins
Beyond Maine's bustling seaports and crowded resort towns lies an untarnished wilderness replete with mountain landscapes and countless remote fishing ponds. With miles upon miles of winding, wooded trails, you can just as easily find yourself atop a gorgeous mountain cliff or taking a swim in a secluded waterfall basin.
For over 140 years, Little Lyford Lodge & Cabins has provided visitors an authentic outdoor experience in central Maine's expansive Moosehead Lake region. Cross-country ski out your cabin's front door, fly fish the West Branch of the Pleasant River, or hike your way up to Laurie's Ledge on Indian Mountain for stunning views. Relax or play as long as you like; delicious homemade meals and hot showers will be waiting for you back at the lodge.
Built in 1874, Little Lyford Lodge and Cabins offers a remote yet comfortable four-season retreat for outdoor enthusiasts to explore the spectacular mountains and wilderness of the Moosehead Lake region. Enjoy hiking, wildlife watching, paddling, fly fishing, skiing, and more at our traditional Maine sporting camp. Set within 66,000 acres of Appalachian Mountain Club conservation land, Little Lyford offers short walks or more challenging hikes to Indian Mountain, Gulf Hagas, or the Appalachian Trail. Fly fishing for native brook trout is available on the West Branch of the Pleasant River or on one of our ten remote ponds.
Little Lyford features private cabins and central lodge, home-cooked meals, hot showers and a sauna in season.
