Offering an exclusive, one-of-a-kind, eco-travel experience, our private Floating Camps are simple but well-equipped houseboats where you can enjoy sweeping panoramic views on Rangeley Lake. Truly the most unique way to experience Maine! Enjoy some time getting A Little Closer to Nowhere
Our private Floating Camps are offered as floating overnight accommodations. While aboard, you can enjoy staying dockside, moored near shore, or anchored remotely in a quiet cove on pristine Rangeley Lake. You will seamlessly integrate into your surroundings while enjoying visiting loons, sweeping sunsets, and clear northern air.
This floating space offers you the simple feel of a tiny house, the aquatic intimacy of a houseboat, the close natural connection of camping – all in one perfectly appointed vacation experience.
Our premier Floating Camp, Nomad, can comfortably accommodate up to four overnight guests. As a guest aboard Nomad, the entire Floating Camp is yours to enjoy - two upper rooftop decks with comfortable outdoor seating and a propane fire pit; a forward and aft deck for additional outdoor lounging areas; propane cooking grill; one petite (though luxurious!) bathroom with toilet and shower; well-equipped kitchen; sleeping loft with pop-up hatches for cloud surfing and stargazing; single sleeping options for two additional guests in forward and aft cabin; and a swim ladder for access on and off the main deck.
Floating Camp Roam (Nomad's new little sister) is a cozier, simpler version of Nomad and comfortably accommodating two to three guests. She features two outside decks and an additional rooftop space with comfortable outdoor seating; propane cooking grill; one petite wet-bath with toilet and shower; well-equipped kitchen with stove top and icebox; a double bed with an additional single sleeping option; and a swim ladder for access on and off the main deck.
