Jameson Tavern

This historic site now housing the Jameson Tavern restaurant was built in 1779 by Dr. John Angier Hyde as his residence. He sold it to Captain Samuel Jameson in 1801 and it was run as an inn sheltering many travelers on their way to Boston or Bangor. Jameson's serves a wide variety of Maine favorite fare, including Maine Lobster, Clams, Chowder, and of course our famous lobster stew. We have sandwiches and delectible steaks, chicken dishes, fish, and many salad options. We also have a childrens menu. We have banquet facilites, and our menus are on line. Daily specials on line after 4:30 p.m jamesontavern.com(207) 865-4196
