Seasonal Hours
Outdoor recreation is a year-round tradition at the Fort Kent Outdoor Center, where a well-maintained trail network invites visitors to explore northern Maine’s landscape in every season. In winter, groomed routes support cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and winter walking. When the snow melts, the same trails welcome hikers, trail runners and mountain bikers, winding through forests and open terrain at a variety of skill levels. Daily trail passes and seasonal memberships provide flexible access, while on-site equipment rentals help newcomers get started in colder months. Trails begin directly from designated parking areas and trailheads, with a dedicated group of volunteers caring for the system throughout the year.
