We specialize in guiding Maine's big game: moose, bear, and deer in Wildlife Management Districts (WMD) 2 and 3. We offer black bear over bait, moose by lottery, and semi-guided deer hunts. We'll also "point you in the right direction" if you're doing a self-guided hunt. Bring a "Maine Atlas & Gazeteer" so we can show you areas to get started. You'll enjoy our comfortable cabins and lodge where American plan is offered.

- Hours Fish River Lodge is open from mid-May through November. Bear-over-bait is opens for four consecutive weeks beginning at the end of August. Moose is by lottery only with a September, October and November hunt. (apply through the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife beginning in mid-January with lottery drawing in mid-June each year). Ducks, geese, and upland birds are hunted in September and October Deer season is open in the month of November. NOTE: Verify Maine's hunting season dates each year in the hunting law book and on the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife web site.
