Figures of Speech Theatre

Figures of Speech Theatre tours locally, nationally, and internationally with original puppet theater productions, recognized with four UNIMA Citations of Excellence, the highest award in American puppetry. In addition to performances, FST offers a full menu of Artist-in-Residence programs designed to help school meet the Learning Results, and supported by the National Endowment for the Arts. FST collaborates with other Maine presenters such as Portland Stage, Heartwood Theater and SPACE Gallery to create new work and/or present innovative puppet theaters. The company also produces the World Puppet Festival, bringing the best in international puppetry to Maine audiences. Check web site for current touring productions.
