Fawcett’s Art/Antiques Toy Museum in Waldoboro offers a visually rich look at American popular culture through world-class displays of antique toys and original cartoon art. The collection focuses on the 1930s through 1950s, featuring early Disney characters, vintage World War II toys and soldiers and standout original comic strip art. Visitors can see authentic items connected to Roy Rogers, Gene Autry and one of the finest Lone Ranger collections on public display. Housed in a historic roadside building along Route 1, the museum is best enjoyed by adults with an interest in design, illustration and nostalgia. An onsite gallery also features antiques and contemporary fine art for sale, adding depth to the visit.
