Seasonal Hours
Children’s Discovery Museum is a nonprofit, hands-on museum in Waterville dedicated to igniting curiosity and celebrating learning through play. Designed for children and their grown-ups, the museum’s exhibit hall is organized into four immersive zones that encourage exploration, creativity and problem-solving.
In the Forest, children build woodland structures, tell stories and climb through oversized natural elements inspired by Maine’s outdoors. The Mill invites hands-on making with rotating STEM-focused projects and tools. The City becomes a bustling downtown, where kids run a pizza shop, sort mail, fix cars and explore hidden passageways. The River is a calmer space for younger visitors, with soft climbing features, pretend fishing and a reading nook. Seasonal programs and special events add new ways to play and learn throughout the year.
