Captain Nickels Inn

Historic 9 Room Oceanfront Bed and Breakfast on Maine's Mid-Coast

The Captain Nickels Inn offers historic accommodations in a charming setting along Maine's stunning Mid-coast region. The inn is perfectly situated on 6 meandering acres directly on the island-studded Penobscot Bay about halfway between the beautiful towns of Camden and Bar Harbor. All rooms are furnished with European and American antiques and feature private baths, flat screen TV’s, WiFi, and modern bath amenities. Our 2 suites also feature fireplaces, private balconies and 2-person soaking tubs. Common areas include two parlors, a sitting room, a tavern, a dining room, and a solarium. Awake to the site of the sunrise across the bay and enjoy a gourmet breakfast in the sunlit breakfast conservatory. Indoor and outdoor fires along with numerous gardened sitting areas invite guests to relax a while and enjoy the beautiful views from the porch, parlors, or large decks overlooking the property. Relax along the rocky coast listening to the waves while sitting in the Adirondack chairs or walk along the water's edge. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
