PLEASE JOIN US good food and a good time : bean-hole beans baked by Maynard Stanley Jr. in a hole in the ground at the Camden-Rockport Historical Society's historic Conway House complex, The supper starts at 5:00 p.m. and continues until the beans - Maine yellow-eyed beans cooked underground the old-fashioned way - run out. Menu: beans, Kirshner hot dog, coleslaw, biscuits with real butter and a pickle or two, plus an iced drink or coffee and the famous pie table, all homemade. The cost is $10 adults, $8 seniors and members, and $5 for those age 6 to 12, no charge for children under 6.
Those who become a member of the Historical Society that evening eat for free.
