Camden Garden Club

The Camden Garden Club is a volunteer organization dedicated to enhancing the natural beauty and serenity of the town with such things as flower baskets on the lampposts in the summer, wreaths in the winter, the gardens at the Public Landing, the Village Green and traffic medians, plus many special projects such as installing a children's amphitheatre at Laite Beach. Once a year, on the third Thursday in July, its members arrange the hugely popular " Camden House and Garden Tour" whose ticket income funds these myriad beautification projects, scholarships for students pursuing degrees in horticulture, and for children to attend the Tanglewood 4-H Camp.
