Harpswell's Black Sheep Wine and Beer Shopis a unique independent merchant selling fine wines, craft beers and a selection of quality specialty foods including award - winning artisan chocolates and cheese.

The Black Sheep specializes in small production, estate grown wines in our retail store; we love hosting our free wine tastings to share our latest finds.

We have a collection of more than 650 different wines in stock from all over the world, in all price ranges, including organic, vintage and allocated fine wine. We are independent retailers; we taste all the wines and beers before we allow them on our shelves.

We are proud to carry wonderful local Maine wines and a selection of Maine craft beers and Maine made foods in our store. We have suggestions for wine and beer to match perfectly with your Maine lobster! We also carry some novels written by local Maine authors. We write a monthly wine and beer column in our local newspaper.

We offer friendly, knowledgeable service and aim to make every visit an enjoyable and pleasant encounter :) We offer specials and discounts. We are veteran owned and operated.

We carry gift worthy wines and offer beautiful gift baskets, suitable for any occasion, with quality handpicked foods to match the wines, and we offer local delivery, too.

We have a reserve case of spectacular wines just for those special occasions when you want a wine that will dazzle!

Sailboat, ferry, fishing and kayak tours to explore the nearby coast and islands, Peary's Eagle Island, Halfway Rock Light, Giants Stairs,Cliff Trail and the Bailey Island Cribstone Bridge are popular activities in Harpswell. Photography is a sport here, with many scenic views of wildlife, nature, historic sea captain's homes,working lobster and fishing wharves as well as the beauty of the clear night sky. Harpswell is close by and convenient for more shopping near Brunswick, Topsham, Freeport or Bath and only about a 45-minute drive north from Portland.
